We Rock the House! Check out our leagues today.  Get Started Now!

Hi Members,

Please note, due to Covid-19 restriction, we have had to change the Purdy's pick up to curbside only.

Curbside pick up will be available;
Tuesday, December 8th from Noon - 3pm
Wednesday, December 9th from 6pm - 9pm

Once you arrive at the club, call or text 780-266-9164 with pick up name and which car you are driving (if there are multiple people at the same time). Please be patient with us as orders will be delivered one at a time, to you in your vehicle, with hands being sanitized between each order. Please ensure you are wearing as mask, prior to your order coming out, as our Purdy's fundraiser coordinator will be wearing one as well, so we may protect each other.

If you cannot make the pick up times above, please contact Linda, our Purdy's Fundraiser Coordinator, at the above phone number, to make other arrangements.

We thank you all for your support this year!

Hello Ellerslie Curlers,
In case you missed today’s announcement by Alberta Premier Jason Kenney, effective tomorrow November 13th, there will be a 2-week suspension of indoor group fitness programs, team sports, group performance activities, as well as reduced operating hours for bars and pubs. This means that starting tomorrow, Ellerslie Curling Club will be pushing pause for the next 2 weeks (closed Nov. 13th-27th). At this time, we will not be opening the Lounge. All games that fall within this 2-week window will be postponed and re-visited after the pause. Practice slots will also be canceled.
1. Click here to recap Mr. Kenney’s announcement here.
2. Click here to view Curling Alberta’s official tweet regarding closures here.
3. Click here to view Alberta’s new public health measures.
4. Click here to view Alberta’s Interactive COVID Map/Region Classification.

As per messaging from Curling Alberta, curlers residing in the enhanced areas (purple areas of link #4, Interactive COVID map) should not travel for the purposes of training, competitions, or bonspiels for the next two weeks.
Our club and membership have done an excellent job of adhering to guidelines put in place since the beginning. With that being said, we now all must accept that these government-issued restrictions are in place to help slow down the spread of COVID-19. Of course, this is ever-evolving, and we will all be on the edge of our seats waiting to hear what comes next from the province. We will re-evaluate after the imposed 2-week shutdown.

Thank you all again for your understanding, patience, and commitment to the club. As I’ve said all along, we are all in this together.
Stay safe, healthy, and hope to see you all soon.

Please see the attached document for our COVID-19 FAQ's as we continue forward with the opening of the new season.

Return to Play waivers, to be filled out, prior to your first game. (If you download the waiver onto your computer, you will be able to fill it out digitally, print and sign, to bring with you for your first game)

Waiver - 18 & Over

Waiver - Under 18 Years of Age

We strongly encourage ALL our members to register for our website. An attendance and health check will be available on your member's home and emailed out to all registered members, 24 hours prior to each of your games. This cuts down on the amount of paperwork and congestion in the lobby when members are arriving for their games. If you need help registering, our website coodinator, Linda, will be available each evening, for the first week of curling, starting Sunday, Oct 4.

We know that some of our members are still confused about the new, on ice, rules, regarding return to play. The Leduc Curling Club, with the Sherwood Park Curling Club, have produced this wonderful video, highlighting the changes, and have allowed us to share it with our members as well. We hope this gives a little more understanding as we move forward in these uncertain times.

Thank you to the Leduc Curling Club and Sherwood Park Curling Club, for creating such a helpful video!

Curling Alberta has implemented a per curler fee of $13.00 that is to be paid to Curling Alberta starting the 2021-2022 season.   This fee will be paid by every curler that curls in any league at Ellerslie.  The breakdown of this fee is:

Curling Alberta Affiliation Fee - $10.00

Personal Insurance Fee - $1.00

This fee will be payable by each curler to Curling Alberta.  If you curl in more than 1 club, you will only pay this fee once.  You will be required to show proof of payment of this fee, from the club you pay your fees to first, in order not to be charged at the second club.  If you require further information please refer to the Curling Alberta website under membership fee.
